ravens cry with no mercy!

also yesterday we saw this in the middle of downtown.

that's a seagull feasting on the decapitated remains of a deceased pigeon. we don't know if he killed it but he sure as shit wanted to eat it!

(these are some of the few pictures i have actually taken. that's not bragging, it's just an unfortunate morbid fact.)

There was just one bird like this at Humboldt Park this summer.  So it was a nice surprise to see a whole flock.

There are a lot of slugs here.
